I have been working on two things latley for myself and a couple of good friends... I'm wondering if anyone would be intrested in these?

The first is an emblum and heres a pic of a drawing i gave my machineing guy...

It will be 2 inches round and the shaded in areas will be recessed. The '5' will be raised as well as the circle around the edge....It will also be made into a leather keychain...

The next thing is for the cold air vents...I have made a mold and fabed vent boots out of fiberglass that will be attached to the quick jack bolts. It has a 3 inch round opening ontop for your 3 inch hose to connect to.. here's a pic...

There are a couple of different designs i have made....This pic show's the rough boot not trimmed yet... Final mold is almost finished....

Please e-mail me, or post, if any of you guys would be intrested!

Rob, I was planning on a similar approach to the vent area. Keep us posted as you get them finished. I would be interested.

If you are interested in an original AC Cobra cold air intake picture...

This photo is from the www.csxinfo.net site and shows where the original air scoop was located. Seems to be one on each side.

Using this style would leave the front scoops open for brake duct use.

Like the vents if the price is right and the delivery is fairly soon.

How much and how long?

I hooked mine up to cool the brakes.

For each side:
1 intake duct from Racer Parts Wholesale = 15.95
2 3" to 2 1/2" reducers from Woodworkers Warehouse = 3.99 ea
10' box of 2 1/2" hose from Woodworkers Warehouse = 10.95
2 hose clamps = 1.00 ea
some duct tape, rivets, 8-9" of flat stock, some silicone/glue/epoxy

Oh! And the tires do not rub!

I like that pic of the original cool air intake. I always wondered about it.

I would be interested in the emblems, I actually had the machine shop at work make me a steering wheel boss similiar to the emblems you are thinking of. I painted the entire thing black, then sanded off the raised part, then clear coated it, I think it came out pretty good and would probably do the same with these emblems, let me know how much and when.

Hey Rob,
Those boots look cool, think you could make some with two outlets? That way you could have brake cooling ducts and some fresh air for your feet!! Have you figured out the rest of the cold air kit? It would be nice to see a complete kit with instructions and all the fasteners. As for the emblems, I would be interested in a set when you finish them. I have some other ideas that might work too. Email me for details. Later

I have one concern about a dual feed. If you aren't carefull you could creat a low pressure area at the brake duct and actually end up drawing air (along with brake dust and asbestos) into the cabin from the second pipe. Kind of like the suction produced from water flowing through the little attachement used to empty waterbeds

Hey Earl,
How much are you going to be asking for the cool air kit? What will be included in the kit. The ones I have seen have 3" tubing with a fan and blast gates to shut them off. Will yours have any provisions for brake cooling ducts too? Thanks

Not sure of the price yet. but it will be reasonable....

Im thinking about offering it with and with out blowers.

My first plan was to have two hookups on the brake duct boots.... I Decided in "MY MIND" that people would either want cool brakes or cool air in the car and that having two air hose hookups would be Over kill. ........ MAYBE NOT.

Like I said, its gonna be some time in Nov before im ready to deliver.

Im focusing on the larger trunk kit right now. Then, the dropped/widened pass side foot box. THEN, the fresh air ducting.

Thanks for the Interest.
