Clean up car, broke old world record, last years attendance of races and char show 3 million peopl, had our own TV show on WealthTV and were featured on a lot of other cable and local TV shows. And this year looks even busier! We now have a brochure (http://ssiracing.com/SSI_brochure.pdf)

We also build an electric 1927 model T roadster that we took to Pinks All Out Bakersfield last weekend (great, exhausting time) http://ssiracing.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=197&title=pinks-all-out-this-weekend

Cheers,

KD

Besides a big stereo that plays engine rumble, I know EXACTLY what that car needs! Where our side pipes are... they need a 5 inch thick red electrical wire... with a big blue 'Crimp' near the middle...

I wonder how rast the windshield wipers run on it... would be funny to have them running 3X the normal speed!

he's just 2 headlight covers and (something!) where our side pipes are away from a finished looking car!

Anyone have contact info for him?

Oh, and some white lettering on the red plastic wire... kind of 'silkscreened' looking...

Even better sound....

I've been working on the "car of the future" since 1991 based on hydrogen fuel cells (i.e., produces electric output like a battery but consumes a fuel [hydrogen, which can be made domestically from most anything] and can be refueled in minutes instead of recharged and only produces water, heat and electricity). I've told influential people for years that the missing technology is the audio component -- I saw a TV car show years ago where Honda was working on active sound cancellation. The idea is that you have a microphone outside the car, a really fast computer, and and audio system that takes the audio "noise" waveform, inverts it, and sends a signal through the speakers that when added to what was already there "cancels" the noise - net effect silence (like the airplane headphones Bose and now others sell). But the best part was, the show I saw had an added feature... The driver could move a selector switch between choices like "American V8" or "Ferrari V12," that would be fed through the speakers and synchronized to "engine" rpm to "make it sound and feel like a real car." If we have to go green, we have to have this....

I did a test flight program on a noise cancelling system on a turbo-prop. It had 6 8" woofers that were maxed out trying to kill the noise in the cabin. It helped but it was still loud inside. I cannot imagine the size woofers it would take to cancel the noise of a loud exhaust.

I guess with a bazillion watts of battery power anything is possible.

I would like to see a hydrogen powered coupe just feeding hydrogen to the v8.

There is a roadster with a 427 FE and stack injection running hydrogen - I'll see if I can find a link. I saw it at a Department of Energy hydrogen program meeting and talked to the guy - Shelby gave him the car to modify for free (or more likely a tax deduction as it was a university). Even I would think better of 'Ol Shel if he'd give me a free 427 roadster....

Update to above

http://www.clean-air.org/Hydrogen Cobra Story/Hydrogen Cobra.htm

Why less hp on gaseous H2?? Answer: Lots of energy in carbon bonds (more than breaking a hydrogen bond, but makes CO or CO2 where combining hydrogen with oxygen produces only water).... a "hydrocarbon fuel" contains both hydrogen and carbon.....

Other examples??

So, .... what if you don't want to combust hydrogen
