this is not a should I or should I not question, as I am not even running an EGR plate. but rather what do I need to do to remove it electronicaly. I would rather not leave the solenoid hanging around. can I just stick a resistor there. Obviosly I won't fool the computer. It allready knows its gone even though the solenoid is plugged in.

I guess what I am saying is there any benefit from leaving it plugged in, over putting a resistor in? I don't really care if it throws an extra code, as long as it runs properly

The correct way is to "put a chip" in the EEC to tell the software it has no EGR. It can be done with a device like the EECTuner or the TwEECer, both allow you to override the stock computer programming.

You can do much more with these devices, like change apparent injector size, MAF calibrations, even enable an electric fan at any temp you want.
