I pulled the ebrake cable today preparing to jack up just the front of the car and PEWCHING! (my ASCII sound effect) the ferrule on the end of the passenger side shot across the garage and the cable end fell outta the caliper and landed on the floor!

I found the piece and I can partially push the cable back in, should I try to weld it on or just get a new cable?? (THis is a brand new cable supplied by FFR for IRS, and I've only actuated the brake a half dozen times)

I'd call FFR and let them know yours was a defective unit that broke within the first few uses. I bet they can make it right for you.

Cheers, John

This is a known problem with the FFR cables. They know about it and will replace them for you. One of mine broke on the second pull.
