does anyone have a detailed picture on exactly how the emergency brake handle is supposed to pull the e-brake cables?

I am having a problem with mine. When i pull the handle, the pully that is supposed to pull the two cables doesnt pull with the handle.

I think the gears on the handle are not engaging properly.

any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Larry, I had this problem also. I don't have any pics, but the problem is that the e-brake cables supplied by FFR are a bit too short. What I did is take the metal connector with the 3 holes and cut, bend and reweld so that it resembled more of a V than the original straight shape. This extra slack was just enough to allow the ratchet and pawl to engage.

i forgot to mention.

the ebrake cables i am using are from the donor. they do appear to be at the correct length.

Its just the pulley on the handle that the cable wraps around wont engage.

Larry, I had the same problem and found if I pulled the E-brake cables far enough (about another 1/2') to engage the pawls on the brake itself it worked fine after that.
