Does anyone have experience with both and know which is better for keeping heat out of the footboxes? If the Dynamat extreme works really well it seems like the easier one to apply. Thanks.

Don't have the insulshield product.

I do have dynamat extreme and it works great.

The guy that carpeted my car says he loves the dynamat products.

It's easy to work with, very easy. It's some seriously sticky stuff though. :D

For what it's worth, I used the JC Whitney foil backed fiber insulation and it works great. Dampens vibration, road noise, heat, etc., and it's very cheap compared to those products you mentioned. A little more difficult to install because you have to either use spray adhesive or double-faced tape. It's a great bang for the buck, and I believe they sell a similar product even cheaper right at Home Depot.

I used Stinger Roadkill, Very thin, and sticky, easy to cut and shape. Has good sound deadening and resistant to 400 degrees.
