Does anyone have the dimensions for the rollbar holes in the body?

I can't get the locations transfered up from the mounts below.

A layout or a suggestion for a tool to transfer the locations would be most appreciated.

I will be calling FFR on Monday. The last suggestion I was given was to use old paper towel tubes. (If they were the correct size and they stayed concentric to the mounts...)

I had allthe cut outs done but they forgot the roll bar.......So I got some heavy construction type paper and wrapped them around the mount tubes. Then traced around that to the bottom of the body. Worked real good however, didnt like the rough holes so I ordered the gromets from finish line looks good no problems. Good Luck Don If I can do it anyone can.

Grok,
I just gave away the transfer pins that I made.

If you have access to a lathe it would take about 1/2 hr to make a set. I'm going from memory so I might be a little off. With the body on get the measurements for the length of the pins.(a little short is better than a little too long). I made the pins from 1-1/2 (it might have been 1-3/4)dia. cold rolled steel. Use the lathe to put a 1/2" x 45 deg. chamfer on one end of the pins. Then drill a 1/4" dia. hole as deep as you can in the center, concentric to the O.D.
With the body off you put the pins in the roll bar mounts(should be a snug slip fit), put the body on and drill a 1/2" start hole, trying not to drill in to the pins.
You then use a 2" hole saw with a 1/4" rod instead of the 1/4" drill, using the 1/4" hole in the pins as your pilot hole. The fiberglass drills easy but go slow. The rear hole will be drilled at an angle. You will have to drill the rear hole in two steps, drill as deep as you can then cut the scrap away, then finish the cut.
Using this method you will get a perfectly sized and located hole, also the rear hole will be a perfect fit with the rollbar. The down side to this is you MUST have the body positioned in it's final location because the rollbar hole will end up locating the body!

Good luck,
Dan
