When working the majic on the doors, trunk, and hood what are you guys using to simulate the weather stripping? do you put that in place to take up the gap when fitting or are you using other stuff to keep the good stuff somewhat clean?

For me the good stuff was the D shaped stuff from Press on the forum. That went on after paint-I used the FFR stuff in sections on the hood and trunk when fitting/grinding.

Nothing,center parts in they're openings check for proper operation, paint then install wheatherstriping of your choice.If the parts are properly lined up the wheatherstrip should have just the right amount of crush to do the jod and keep things level.

I started off by using the rubber bumpers but then found the stuff that Press now sells and replaced all the bubpers with it after the car was painted.

You can use short pieces of the kit stuff to simulate for a test fitting, then remove it befor painting.
