All,
I'm my quest to learn about supercharging and add difficulty to my build I've learned about using o2 sensors for carb tuning.

My question is two part. Do you use a narrow or wide band sensor. The wide band is way more expensive....is it worth it and where do you buy yours.

I planned to go autometer or build a small meter I can detach. I was just curious if anyone invested in a wide band.

OT, Did you see my questions to you about your alternator braket? You have to locate the Alt on the drivers side right, what braket did you use? Also did you change your waterpump rotation. Sorry a few more, what did you do for a fuel setup. I'm kinda wanting to try to keep an intank fuel pump.

I couldnt help myself I ordered the Holley 174 Friday from summit and its currently in route!

Ok Mike - i am running the basic Autometer A/F guage on a hidden motorized pannel i am currently constructing. For the alternator bracket i called up Breeze and told him i was installing the blower and he set me up with one of his alternator relocator kits. For fuel i am running an external Carter electric pump and a Mallory inline filter. Feel free to call me anytime with questions, 203-746-3766.

Hi Mike,
Sorry to use this way to communicate but I am still waiting for my J Pipes or my check.
It has been over 5 months.
If you can think about O2 sensors, Carbs, and superchanging, you might be able to at least respond to my e-mails and my phone calls.

You can respond (like that will actually happen) at [email protected].
I have moved and anything you might send in the future will not get to me.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would just communicate with me!!

Guys,

Please be careful tuning by a standard o2 sensor. The are only accuate in a very narrow range and a fairly slow. If your serious about tuning use a Wideband HEGO or Uego. Most good HP shops have one. Do your main tuning with one and then use yours for reference.

Jim,
I've been trying to contact you, your old email address does not work. I just emailed David Bordon yesterday trying to get your new email address. The pipes will send the same day you can get me the new address. I'm glad you contacted me.

Phil, thanks for the feedback, this is all new to me (carb tuning)

I just finishing an engine with an SDS ECU, a Vortech Renegade but using EFI instead of a carbutetor. I installed a heated O2 sensors in the collector part of one side pipe at the suggestion of the SDS manufacturer solely for tuning purposes. They recommended using a wide band heated O2 sensor. Once the car has been for a trip on the dyno and the SDS is programmed the O2 sensor can be removed and the hole plugged. I bought the sensor at NAPA. It was generic, heated, wideband.
