I'm trying to get my alternator to charge and have a couple of questions.

1. Is there supposed to be a cable running from the alternator all the way to the battery in the back of the car? (I don't have one and I don't appear to have one from the donor, even a short one as it might have been in the mustang)

2. There are two wires, one large black/orange and one medium yellow with fusible links that run along the front headlight harness that appear to originate from the alternator. These two wires merge into one with a large eyelet connector. This is not currently connected and I don't know where it is supposed to be connected to but it ends up being in the area of the starter solenoid/brake master cylinder. Where is this supposed to go?

3. I don't have the donor pod/warning light stuff so I need to know how to connect the kit red light to the alternator to warn of charging problems.

Thanks guys/gals!!!

1. No.
2. On the battery side of the starter relay.
3. Light goes between the R/LG and the LG/R wires in the dash pod connector.

Ford also installs an ~500 Ohm resistor between the same two wires as the light. The purpose is to allow the alternator to function even if the light bulb burns out.
