For those using the Dolphin gauges, can I use my Mustang fuel tank's factory sender?

Or do I need to cut a hole in my tank and install the supplied sender?

Asking it another way; can anyone tell me the resistance measurements of a stock mustang fuel level sender? At empty, 1/2 tank, and at full tank?

I called Dolphin for my '95 donor and they said I had to use their sender. Resistance measurements are way different between the two. Ended up removing the factory sender and adapting some bracketry to mount the Dolphin float and resistance unit to the donor sender cap. Resoldered the wires and cut and bent the float wire until it rotated fully from empty to full. Worked fine.

That's a good idea.

My factory sender "ring" is pretty rusty and woudn't turn on the first 2 or 3 trys. So I stopped beating on it and sent out my question.
But if I got to get it out, it will come, I'll just use the BFH!
