Had to get blood work done awhile back for my skin cancer surgery. Went to a clinic that I think they send all the old farts to. While I was waiting an old man in an electric wheelchair (said he was 93) was complaining that he had just bought a new Mercedez and they took away his driver's liscense. Anyway, he was parked in front of the bathroom door. After what seemed to be an eternity of him complaing about what a good driver he was another older fellow came rushing up hollering for him to move his chair so he could get in the bathroom. The man in the chair pushed the lever and it moved forward a foot. As the other man tried to enter the bathroom the capable wheelchair driver lurched backwards pinning the guy in the bathroom door. As he yelled and I tried to extricate him from the door...you guessed it. He messed his pants! Sure glad they took that Mercedez away. BTW, only lost top of ear and some other parts here and there. A little plastic surgery and I'll look as bad as ever. :D :D :D USE YOUR SUN BLOCK!
Thanks,

Yeah, my wife Sherry has been there done that. I keep a tube of sunblock 30 in the Cobra now at all times. I remember when we were kids we'd try to stay ion the sun as long as possible to see who could be the darkest. I wait in fear!

Yea, wife says stay out of the sun too. SPF 40 for me. I say not to worry, I'll only drive the Corba on cloudy days, not too cloudy so as not to get stuck in the rain. I should be able to get to drive it about a dozen times a year. Thinking about a soft top. Every no topper should see their dermatologist yearly!

Don't b lulled into a sense of well-being by the clouds. UV rays still penetrate through the clouds. A percentage is blocked but you can still get a dose.

Also, you're not safe in the shade. The rays bounce around and you can get "zapped" from deflection

Also don't be lulled into a false sense of security with sunblocks. The Dermatologist don't like to admit it but there are more and more studies comming out that prove that not only do sunblocks not prevent skin cancer but they may increase your risk of melanoma which is the most lethal type. It seems that we spend more time in the sun when we're blocked and inturn get exposed to more radiation. The best advice is wear a hat.

Old oxford white shirts with the collars turned up work wonders in the summer. So do large straw hats. As long as you don't mind looking a bit hick you'll stay cool and unburned.
