Jeff, thanks for the info just what I needed. I have the dead pedal but couldn't find the invoice to save my life. Another member asked me where I got it and I went brain dead. Thanks for the help.

You have a Mk4 like in your sig line? Not sure the DWC part will fit. FFR pushed out the footboxes, and I don't think the additional bump out will fit inside the body. I put the DWC part, as pictured, in my Mk3 and like it very much. But when I mocked up my Mk4, it's clearly much wider. I thought I read somewhere on here that the DWC or other similar parts don't fit on the Mk4. Maybe others can chime in and agree or correct me.

FWIW, I ordered and received the Russ Thompson part from Breeze. It mounts directly on the sidewall without any additional extension. Nice piece, although I've only mocked up and not actually installed yet. I have as much room or more between the flush mounted dead pedal and the clutch on my Mk4 as the bumped out area on my Mk3.

Don't know which one you are responding to but the DWC dead pedal work just fine in my MK4 as shown in the picture.

I was responding to Bill, but I see you have your Mk4 done, body on, etc. Saw your graduation post BTW. Looks awesome. If you're saying you have the DWC bumped out dead pedal setup on your Mk4, good. As I said, my observation was that the Mk4 DS footbox is wider than the Mk3. They obviously tried to use the available space between the footbox wall and the body. I thought I read that mods like the DWC wouldn't fit in there, but you've obviously proven otherwise. Thanks for the clarification. Like I said, the Breeze (Russ Thompson) part doesn't require a cut-out, and I will have just as much room as the Mk3 with the cut-out. So another option.

I might need to clarify my install of the DWC dead pedal. I was concerned with the bump out and the body but mine is close real close but with the elephant ears installed it push out the body a little and gave me a tiny bit more wiggle room for the mounting of the pedal. Also I riveted it from the inside not the outside. Gave me just a hair more room. FWIW.
