I know that there's a few owners in the DC area, and I'm hoping I can get a little help. My wife and I are going to be running up to Reagan-Nat'l briefly on Saturday late morning. I mentioned to her that there's some Cobras in the DC area...

The skinny is I'd like to chat with one of you who have either built or are in the process of building one while I'm up there, and as a side benefit, get my wife more on board with the idea. We'll be coming over on I-66, and would be willing to meet wherever is convenient, late morning this Saturday (7/13). My number is 540-434-1917, or you can post here or drop an email [email protected].

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave! I'd gladly chat w/ you and your wife about FFR's any time. There are several FFR's in NoVA, but you may have trouble finding any this Saturday morning. Our club (CACC) is having a poker run and BBQ on Saturday. I'll probably leave the house around 10am and won't be back till late afternoon.

Call me at work 800-825-8820 (AGC Engineering), and we'll see if there's any way to work something out.

Wade, thanks! I told my wife about the poker run, she said "do you think they'd mind if we followed them in the Altima?" I don't think it will take much to get her on board!

A FFR'er from Haymarket emailed me, I'll get in touch with him this evening. If that doesn't work out, I'll go to Plan B - whatever that is.

Ivan Zupan in Haymarket? He's the only one I know of there.

There may be a few "non-cobra" cars doing the poker run thing. If you're serious, I don't think anybody in our group would mind if you wanted to join us. Officially, the run goes from 11am to 1pm, followed by a BBQ at a member's house in Winchester. I'll send you the email address of the fellow hosting the BBQ. I'm certain you guys would be welcome to join us, but you should get with him for directions, etc.

Yup, it was Ivan. I'll be calling him tonight.

If you don't think anyone would mind, it would be great to meet up in Winchester. I'd have to clear it with the boss first to make sure we'd have the time, but that sounds great. I got your email so I'll be getting the details.

Thanks Wade!
