Guys:

I'm probably overthinking this one, just checking for sanity:

I'm replaced the DS inside vertical footbox panel and the inside top DS panel with the ones supplied in the coyote specific MK4 complete kit.

The fit is so-so. Did you guys need to tweak the bend on the inside vertical panel a bit? Ours looks like someone got 20% too aggressive on the bend in the inside. Are we over-thinking this, or doing something wrong? Just checking.

Coyote footbox leaning almost 2" Supposed to?

Hi All,

Ordered my kit last December, As I was unsure as to which motor I was going to use I asked them to just install the regular footbox aluminum.

Last week I decided to go with the Coyote motor so I ordered the coyote kit which came with new footbox aluminum. Sides and top.

During fitment I am noticing that it is actually leaning about 2 inches towards the engine compartment. Small at the bottom of the footbox to large at the top. Think thats odd. If they designed an angle to it wouldn't it be reversed so the footbox and valve cover would have more room? Maybe it has something to do with the wilwood pedal assembly? Any help would me much appreciated.

I am attempting to attaching a few pictures. 1st time ;)

Hopefully this will tell a better story.
Note that this is my last piece of aluminum to install, for the most part everything seems to have fit pretty well. This one just struck me as a little odd.

Is this inside panel supposed to rivet onto this 3/4" square tubing? If I move this in and rivet this - the panel is straight, but then the top peace doesn't fit on top.

Thank you very much,

I thought there was an extended floor panel also; I've seen some Coyote builders revise the footbox chassis components to accomodate this. If correct, then the extended panel would even out your panel issue.
