In San Diego, La Jolla area, be sure to stop by Only Yesterday ( website: http://oldautos.com/ ), Shelby dealer/private exotic car collection/service shop for Shelbys and exotics. Bob Z. (bobzffr on the Forum) works there, too, BTW.

Also in SD with fun cars to look at:

Also, SoCal SAAC is meeting April 19, and has other events going on around then. You'd be very welcome at one of our meetings, and there are always interesting cars at the meetings this time of year, when the days are long:

In San Diego, see the Lindberg Museum; sort of a mini Smithsonian Air/Space museum.

I know your going to So Cal, but if you ever get to northern CA, vist the Blackhawk museum in Danville. All cars and nothing but cars of all types.

Here are some things for you to do (non-auto). Hit an In & Out burger joint, stop by Pinks for a hot dog and you have to have a shrimp or fish taco at Taco Surf.

Now for the auto side, The Long Beach Grand Priz is April 13, 14 & 15. My wife & I will be out there from April 7 through 15 to see our son and the race amoung other things.

Have a great trip.
