I was wondering if there is a description or proceedure to proerly adjust the clutch on the back of a 351W with a T-5 transmission. I have a cable for actuation.
Where is the arm position required to be at the initial point of adjustment, how much travel of pedal to fully dis-engage clutch, etc?
Need some help and appreciate your response.
Thanks,
Jim

You will definately have preload on the clutch. The days of "free play" in the pedal are gone. Did that to eliminate bearing "rattle". You will have to adjust to your own personel likes for clutch disengagement.

The old rule of thumb is to adjust it so the car just starts to move when peddle is about one inch from the floor when letting the peddle up. Any higher and the clutch might not fully engage and slip causing premature failure.
