hey Guys,

Im using a 90 Gt donor. Right now I have the heater hoses looped together. I wanted to eliminate all I can. Is the coolant surrounding the throddle body essantial or can I pull the hose and pipe off as well?

thanks

NAGA,

Yes, I'll put the sensor elsewhere....wasn't sure what the coolant around the throddle body was intended for, and now I know. It will never see ice!!!

thanks

Throttle plate ice? First I have heard that one.

The coolant lines to the throttle area are actually going to the egr spacer. Hot exhaust goes directly through that spacer and the coolant is there to cool the unit. If you are using EGR, you should keep them, without them the spacer will be extra hot and tend to fill up with black soot. Also this is a last effort to cool the hot exhaust before it is reintroduced into your engine!
