just installed " Cobra" valve covers and found that the upper intake now has a fit issue in regards to the fitting that mounts under the intake for the breather lines, whats the fix for this ...Thanks Don M.

Thanks, I'll get one tomorrow and get this thing all buttoned up, should be dropping the engine/trans in this coming weekend if everything goes good. This is actually going pretty quickly..

DPMAZ, As the others have already stated, a 3/8 phenolic spacer will do the trick and I bought mine from Summit too. However, this also caused some clearance issues with the hood on my car.

Another way o take care of the problem is to tapp the hole for the fittings a little deeper. They are a pipe thread and by running the tap in a little deeper, you can get the fitting to thread futher into the intake and provide more clearance. Not sure it is enough though.

Jeff, how did you fix the problem, are there any other remedies in hindsight, other than not putting them on?

Thanks John, think I'm going to go out in the garage and start grinding, that'll save about me about $40.00....you guys always come through...amazing... guess thats why i bought a factory five!!

No problem, Just passing on some tips I picked up when I was scratching my head about the same problems. That's what this place is all about.
