COBRA BASH II

This event is scheduled for November 16 ~ 17th in Sunny Central Florida.
Just N. of Tampa in Lutz. The new home of “Engineer Ed”.
I have 1.5 Acres and room to park a few trailers.
I have two spare bedrooms for those needing a place to stay.

I am hosting this show and hoping to meet some of the guys I’ve been speaking with since moderating the help section. Here is your chance to pay me back.... Just show up! Hint Hint :D
Food will be served by Beef O’ Bradys.
There will be no fee for the car show unless you guys would like me to provide trophy’s.
Voting for cars conducted by show participants and general public.
Crusin Style magazine will be attending and doing an article on the event.
Blue Oval corral will also be in attendance selling lots of performance products.
Finish Line is providing a care package as always…

Saturday Nov 16th:
Car show and Dyno day. A mobile dyno is being reserved for the day during the car show. (Hopefully if I can get enough deposits).
For a cost of only $50.00, you get two pulls. For an additional $10.00, a wide band O2 sensor will be installed.
Cobra’s will sign up for dyno at the show. When number is next up, car is moved from the car show area to the dyno stage area. After pulls, back to the show.
I need a minimum of $1000.00 for owner to travel from Tallahassee to the Cobra Bash so please let me know if you are interested.

An after hours party will be held at the hotel pool. Location of Hotel is yet to be determined, but it will be close to the event.

Sunday, Nov 17th:
Convoy in the AM to Gainesville, Fl to participate in the SCCA Solo II auto X.
Cost is $20.00 for SCCA Members, and $25.00 for non-members.
Cars must pass SCCA tech inspection.

Please e-mail me if you are interested in attending this event.

Ed...count me in unless unforseen problems arise. How many hours is the trip from your place to Gainesville? Can't we do anything a bit closer??? Maybe the SCCA in central Fla would do a special in Melbourne for us...I think that would cut down driving time a bunch. Let me know if I can help. dino

Distance-wise I think I think gainesville is a little easier to get to. Lutz is way on the north side of tampa - a few hours from gainesville... and no dealing with SR 60.

Dino,
Right now I’m just trying to line up something of interest to gain attendance.
The auto-x at Gainesville may not be of interest due to the high number of cars that will be there. I cant promise more than 4 runs, and who knows the length.
The SCCA may not utilize the entire track and they may use cones for slaloms and esses to slow you down.
It wont be at all like what the DSCC runs up there.
So, that leaves a dyno to up the attendance… hopefully!

How many guys want to drive from around the state just for a car show?
There are a bunch of Cobra owners and enthusiasts in the central Florida area, and I’m trying to get us all together.

A dyno would be a bonus!
For $50.00, you can see what HP numbers you have under your hood.
That is a great price considering what it costs to go at it alone.
Most dyno shops want setup fees and minimum pulls…

If we only plan a one day event, so be it.
It would be nice to do something as a group once in a while.
Again, I’m trying to put a few things together such as vendors and media to get guys to come.
There are a few attractions in the Tampa area such as Busch Gardens for the family.

I’ll keep this thread at the top and hopefully get enough deposits to reserve the dyno.
