I have the Ford Motorsport heavy duty clutch and last night the clutch cable broke!! It was late at night so we just coasted thru intersections and timed a few lights just right and got home safely. Is the Ford clutch cable the only one out there or is there a heavier aftermarket available. or did I just get a bum one. I would like to upgrade if ther is one out there thanks

I hear that the donor cable is actually more reliable, if it will fit your setup.

OEM Ford cable is the only way to go. If it was a Ford cable that broke, I'm guessing it was a fluke. Most of the aftermarket cables are junk....the liners wear out very quickly, then the pedal effort goes off the charts.

Hi Schooner

The part you want is the ford racing M-7553-A302 it includes the O/E cable and a fork...toss the fork. The retail on the kit is $49.95 and your FFcobra cost is $37.95!! the O/E cable that I have on the shelf from ford with 2" of dust is $138.07 and your cost is $103.55. It is the SAME cable. I have plenty in stock and can still ship today.

Yeah,

What Max said. But DON'T toss the fork! I'm looking for one. If you won't be using it, email me & I'll buy it. Email me before you order, & we can figure out a way for me to pick up the kit & ship you just the cable, instead of sending the fork on a west coast tour...

Take care,
Matt
