I've just recently fired my car up and a week ago I noticed that my clutch cable seemed to be getting "long".
I went under the car today and was planning to bolt in the fork cover and check out the adjusting nuts ,and 'lo and behold the jam nut had come off and the primary nut had unwound about half an inch.
This was the reason for the slack in the cable, mind you the car has less that 30 minutes on it.
I replaced the jam nut, adjusted and tightened everything up and put some blue loctite on the jam nut just for the heck of it.
Lesson here: double check everything, leave nothing to chance.
