I have a new Lakewood bellhousing and noticed that there is no cover for the hole where the clutch arm comes out. This causes me some concern, as there are always rocks, even on a paved road. To make matters worse, I live on 3/4 of a mile of gravel road, and even tho I travel it in 1st gear going about 5-10 mph,I know I pick up rocks occassionally.

Does anyone know of a boot or something that fits this and can be used to keep the rocks out of there?

Thanks.

I bought the standard cover for the T5 aluminum housing and cut 1" from the forward most section to clear the nuts:

Note that there is a bolt that holds it in. I drilled and tapped a hole to fit a 5/16-18x1" stainless steel bolt w/lock washer. You can read it on the 7/30/2005 entry in my Journal.

I don't have a cover on mine. I don't think it's a big issue.

Aluminum tape Tom. Quadruple layered. Followed with chewing gum and scotch tape - don;t forget to chew first.

Thanks 289. I have that cover on my old T5 - That looks like a good solution. I will try it and see if I can make it as purdy as yours.

Glen: have you been tasting the chromium fluid again? :D
