My doors and latches were originally fit using a stack of washers to space the striker out far enough to engage the latch. Worked well enough, but I decided to clean it up a little. Found some 3/4" heavy wall tubing at onlinemetals.com bought 1 foot of their 6061-T6 tubing, and about 15 min worth of work with some sandpaper and my buffing wheel, turned out some pretty spiffy spacers, if I do say so myself. I cut the tubing on a band saw, then filed it to fit in place of the washers. Using a hand file, I held the out of square to + or - .005 Not bad considering I was holding the stuff in my lap while filing on it. John
