So, Tuesday, the weather is in the high 40's here in NJ..Decide to take the Cobra out and meet my wife for lunch. All goes well until we stop at the local eatery (Goodfellas in Parsippany for those in the know), I go to pull up the E brake handle, and I hear a loud SNAP....Take a look under the car, and sure enough, the cable leading from the transition piece has snapped. On close inspection, I can see no corrosion, nor any kinks or wear patterns. So, just as an FYI, you might want to check yours. Heaven forbid your parked on a hill and the cable lets go, even if your in gear (depending on what gear your in), the car could still roll just a bit.........

can you buy just the short one? Mine is from the Motorsports kit and it has a kink in it. Albeit a very small kink I hate to have any issues with things like this...

Yes, you can buy just the short link and the equalizer (the transition piece that goes from the single cable to the dual rear E brake cables). Will get you a part number on Friday, just as soon as I pick up the new replacement from Ford.

List (ie: jobber) is $18.95
Net is $14.95

Do not let anyone ever try to charge you more than jobber pricing for this part, even if they have to order it in for you. Called two dealership parts counters, both I do mega $$$$$$ with throughout the year...First one want to charge me $26.00 for it..Second one gave it to me for the $14.95 quoted above....Can you figure out who just lost a large amount of my business (sales, service, parts, etc)........
