Just got finished making sure it works.
Here's the mounting pad using Streetrodpainters "epoxy rivet" technique.
The big blue dots are holes in the 1/4" plate that are generously countersunk on the outside, so the 3M stuff forms a rivet. In addition, there are dovetail shaped notches all around the perimeter. I justr have to clean up the excess and it's done. They weigh less than half of the gas strut alternative, they cost the same and they never wear out.
