This is a unique find. I bought the car from Ed Boothman who worked with Factory Five to campaign this car in endurance racing. Ed sold the car to me after rebuilding it: fresh motor, transmission. This car is well sorted and has some really nice features: unique body layup to make it much lighter than stock bodies; an over sized fuel cell with slosh tank; Factory Five's Ford IRS; Wildwood front brakes; reinforced roll cage; etc.. Engine: 331 with Scat Forged Crank,Scat Rods, DSS Piston & Rings, Trickflow Cam, Clevite Bearings, Edelbrock Victor 5.0 intake. Trans: Tremec TKO 5 Speed 600 ft lbs Torque; Ford Racing Aluminum Flywheel, Ford Racing Stock Clutch. Electronics: Racepak Display ICQ3. Factory Five's Ford Independent Rear Suspension. Lot's of spares
log book, manuals, etc.. This car is turnkey. $27,900

Looks like a 'towing eye' to me.

Often a requirement for racing, so the car can be quickly hooked up and pulled off the track if needed.

You can see it sticking out of the hood in the first two photos.

Cheers, Paul. :)
