I need to coat my older side pipes. It's been recommended to me to powder coat them but I concerned the coating will not handle the heat. I've heard of Cerakote which is a high temp type of powder coating or should I do ceramic?

Looking for your experience with any of these options.

Thanks
Glenn

Just had mine ceramic coated. $250 for the pipes and hangar brackets. Mine were raw steel to start. Multiple color/chrome options available.

Had mine ceramic coated in 2004. Still look new. I polish them with an aluminum polish like Mothers once a year and they get even brighter than new.

After 10 years, my headers were not looking good. A friend had his done and they looked great, so I shipped them to Performance Coating in Jonesboro, Georgia. They blasted/stripped them, applied a high-temp Ceramic coating, and returned them to me in less than 10 days. They look FANTASTIC!
Called them and talked to them before I shipped (770) 478-2775.

Mine have been ceramic coated for a few years and I have been really happy with how they have held up so far!
