Anyone running cats do anything about heat generated by them. Damn they generate a lot of heat

Wrap them or ceramic coat them.

Any header wrap should do. I'm not sure if excessive heat wears them out.

I have 5K miles on mine, no issues, except I have been accused of having a cobra that is too quiet.

Ditto to TNCobra. I was a bit disapointed as they made the car too quite.

I insulated my footbox under the carpet and have no heat issues. I can put my hand on the carpet up front after driving and not notice any heat.

Insulation on the inside of the footboxes and stainless steel heat shields spaced-off from the engine compartment side by about 1/2". Used pieces of fuel line to make the spacers for the heat shields. Also had the cats ceramic coated.
