I am putting in my carpet and have a rather large gap between the trunk wall and the transmission tunnel.

When I look at the template of all the pieces it doesn't show one piece that I have which is triangular with the top cut off.

If I put that piece inbetween the gap it covers it, but it looks real ugly.

I am thinking about cutting a new trunk wall piece but before I do that I wanted some suggestions as to if I am doing something wrong,
except for this piece everything else fits fine.

The pieces shown in my manual are 10671 & 10670. Older manuals show the carpet layout without that piece you mentioned.

The differences you mention sound like you could have a MKII carpet kit. The MKI transmission tunnel did not use that piece. Do you have a two-stage build?

If you have the MKII that piece fills in the gap, I can't help you other than to recommend that you practice hiding the seams!

I am pretty sure that I have a complete mkII, I did quite a bit of trimming and it looks alright, but I do have more seams than I would like.

It seems like it would be fairly easy to make the trans tunnel and rear cockpit wall all one piece.

Thanks
