That Hartley engine belongs in something equally light like a Super 7. It's almost wasted in a Cobra.

For those who don't know, the Hartley is essentially two 4-cylinder Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engines attached to the same crank.

That engine would be so cool in a GT40 or in Fran's RCR-P.

That's wicked lookin'. It probably turns 12,000 R.P.M.'s.Lotta' top speed but not much low end "Grunt" I suspect. Someone w/ some Hyabusa knowledge can correct me if my "Guess" is wrong. Brian

The engine is at www.h1v8.com
FAQ says under $30K

The fuel injection is by Dynatek Racing. They are going into production soon.
Told me the prototype car went from 8 mpg to 18 mpg with the system and idle from 1350 to 650 rpms. Around $6000. No details on what is included in the complete package.

They are doing a system that looks like a Demon / Holley carb with two injectors in each of the fake fuel bowls. Around $3500+ I think.

Both are speed-density based.

This is the billet prototype I saw run:

Thats what I was thinking. Looks like 2 busa or ZX-14 motors with the same crank. It would have to go into something light - not much in the torque dept. I have an RX8, no torque sucks!
