Andy...you are THE MAN!!! It looks as if you have gone from "I'd really like to learn how to build my own engine" to "I CAN and WILL make this sucker kick ass and take names!!!!" Congrats buddy!!! I told you that even a butcher like you could do it!!!
I, on the other hand, found a 392 stroker with AFR185 heads in a fire damaged 5.0 mustang for $2500. Hmmmmm...my stroker kit with forged crank, forged H beam rods and forged pistons was $1600...and AFR185's were $1375. If my math is correct...that's $2975..without oil pump, flywheel, water pump, pulleys, distributer, oil pan, and gaskets.
Needless to say...I jumped!!!
After I change to cam to Gordon's "special grind", and pop on a Victor Jr...I'm hoping for 500+ HP at the flywheel. Andy...I think I can speak for all the forum people when I say thank you so much for sharing all your experiances with us, good and bad. I know you have saved many of us from screwing up.
