I cant figure out why my brake lights stay on, when I install the tail lights. I have running lights, and both turn signals working fine back there. I know that the bright light wire is green. Im puting that wire in the purple wire terminal on both sides and they come on bright but dont shut off. Is this an indication of the brake switch not working? the switch is depressed when the pedal is resting, then when brake is applied the switch button is not deppressed. Is that correct? maybe the switch needs adjustment? any advice on this issue? I will take a pic later today-Andy

The message footer says Complete Kit, which means Wilwood pedal box. Factory 5 supplies a push-OFF switch for their pedal box. When the brake pedal is fully disengaged, the brake switch plunger must be pushed in far enough to open the brake light circuit. I got lucky and checked the brake light circuit before the body went on (brake lights were on all the time.) I had to move a washer on the switch mount to change the switch location, because the brake pedal was not pushing the switch far enough in to open the brake light circuit with the brake pedal fully released.
correct, I have the wilwood switch with the complete kit. Sooo if the white button is not pushed in far enough(toward the driver) the brake lights will not go off?
