I am using 88 mustang donor, disc front, drum rear, have not yet shortened brake pedal, pedal pressure is greater than comfortable, do I need to shorten the pedal & change master cyl. The master cyl. bore is 22mm. Or will shortening the pedal be enough? Jeff

With your setup the master cylinder should be good and not need to be changed after shorening th brake pedal.

I shortened the pedal on my MKII a few weeks ago and am VERY pleased w/ the result w/ the stock MC.Just to clarify-there is an alternate lower mounting hole in the bracket.Measure the distance from original to lower hole.Shorten the top of the pedal by that same amount.Good luck
