Body Repair

I'm looking at a car that has
a minor crack in the body near the hood. What is the preferred method for a permanent repair? I don't think Ill pull the trigger on the car but, in the event I change my mind.

Define minor crack. If it is a hair line in the surface you basically sand the area down past the crack and repair and spot paint and blend. If it is cracked fiberglass you V out the crack, layer glass in the V section and build it up. Finish the repair and spot paint and blend.

Pretty sure it's the latter, but that's what I needed to know that it's a fiberglass repair and not some sort of ABS adhesive. Thanks
Can you post a picture of it? You can get cracks in the gelcoat or deeper in the glass.

Hmm, just do what Gordon Lecy said or have any shop familiar with Corvettes do the work, they are totally familiar with the process. It is easy, but also a nasty job if you sand the fiberglass as the particles are highly irritating.
