I printed the JPEG versions of the body buck templates found in the FAQ on a plotter. I am cutting them out and just figured I would sanity check my printout. The measurements on my printouts seem to be quite different from the measured drawings I have found.

Has anyone used these images and do they fit the body well? Is there a straight line dimension that I could check to be sure my printout did not scale in some strange way?

So you found the angle to to dangle doesn't come out. The front buck is some what close ond the rear sucks. When you get the basic lay out on the plywood for the size or style make a cardboard template that really fits your front/rear body contours and draw them over basic lay out. O' yes try to use the center of the wheel wells for you buck length.You can use pipe insulation on your buck for a real nice mateing.

Well, I put my body on the buck, that sounded wierd, and the front fits fine. The rear not so good.

I decided that for now, it is good enough. I like the idea of using cardboard to come up with a better template. I built mine before the kit arrived so that garage space would not be an issue.

Put mine on the buck yesterday too after picking up on Saturday. I concur that the front is great but the rear is poor. Theres about a 1" gap at the top of the wheel arches. On the other hand I'm touching in the middle and at one place on each side so I believe that there should be no distortion even after many months. Does that sound correct?

That's plenty of support. At FFR I saw several bodies supported in the wheel wells on 2x4s on end. You won't hurt the body. The pipe insulation trick is good too.

I took the same thought you did TLAR ( that look about right) So now tell us what year your going to finish your car. I said the same thing last Thanksgiving when my kit arrived. Tip #1. Throw your PWA, Summit, and other performance book away and dive into your FF5 manual and log only online when you need help. Now if I would take my advice and go out side and work on my car. BY BY
