Anybody here running a KRC power steering pump? If so, what did you do to purge all the air out of it?

The tech guy at KRC has a pretty involved method of purging/bleeding the pump that includes filling the reservoir with fluid then using a drill to drive a pulley and belt to spin the pump. (He doesn't want me to start the engine until the pump is primed.) But I don't see any difference between trying to fab-up a complex priming system versus spinning the engine on the starter, or even firing the engine at idle to prime the system.

Any opinions on the subject out there?
