I have 315-35-17 tires on 17"x11" American Racing rims on the back of my '95 Mustang and love the look (and they don't rub!) so I was wondering can this be done to the FFR? I have looked in the FAQ and have seen some build sites with some information but none so far with the 3 Link set up. I know the frame and supports have to be modified but how? Pic's or diagrams would be a big help in understanding this. Thanks in advance.

I do know that Dave Rhea for FFR has cobra R's 10.5 with 315's with the 3-link and frame mods done!

I am planning on doing this size, hopefully. As I understand it you need to trim the frame in the rear and a rebend the aluminum panels. You may not be able to run quad shocks. I was going to do the frame mod and then see how it looks as the build prgresses. Thy this link for frame mods:detailshttp://www.norcal-cobras.com/fick/journal2.htm

Thanks for the help and good luck. As I understand it the Quad shocks can't be used with the 3 Link set up anyway. I have seen the build at the link you provided but his car used an IRS unit. For the most part all of the big tire cars have been IRS units. Mabey they have more room with the different subframe. On a side note: The contractors are about 50% done on the garage so mabey I'll get Santa (Wife) to give me the final OK for the
order... Oh I have been a good boy Santa... please.. LOL

You will probably have to modify the 3 link panhard bracket attached to the axle. It will rub the rim. My guess any good fab guy could do it for $50 - $100. You will also need to modify the frame to clear the tires. Its all doable, but you will need to make some changes that will require some cutting and welding.
