Just got my Lokar e-brake to clear the Street Performer seats. Anyone have a creative way to mount it? I'm thinking about trying to pick up a couple of the shifter bolts and then making a bracket to the frame or the tunnel. Anyone done this? Photos?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

I'm in the same boat. I've got the street performers and just tried them in the pass side this week. So now I can't tell whether to lift the seat or go Lokar. You don't say if you have a MKII. The MKII has a good structure built in the tunnel which would allow an e-brake to attach to.

I made wider "L" brackets and replaced the rear brackets that came with the Lokar. I redrilled the frame mounts so I can get 1 bolt attached to the front and 2 in the rear with the wider (toward the rear of the car) brackets. HTH

I have a MKI so there's not a lio of structure on the tunnel. I thought about the floor, but since I am going through all this trouble, I figured that I'd try to mount it where I can reach it!

It looks like it could mount right up close to the shifter and not interfere with shifting. With mods to the Lokar brackets, I can get to 2 of the shifer screws. I still neet to attach the other 2 to something structural.

Anyone else try this?
