FFR Ford 8.8 rear axel 3.55 gears delivered 7/25/13
Kit #668 delivered by Stewart on 8/2/13. Was dropped off at a near by parking lot an loaded on my flat bed trailer. The truck and trailer was too long for the turn a round at the end of my street...!

Started inventory 8/3/13, Made a second inventory list work copy. Wow lots of stuff. I went through every box and bag. Took my time.... 24 hrs. Inventory done. Six B/O items. Missing parts 22 items. Over all, not bad for pick and pack. B/O items are shipped 8/7/13.

And yes, I have read most of the posts on this forum before ordering !!!
A toast to all the guys that have contributed all the information..... Thanks from me personally.

Photos to follow. I have yet to post a pic, so the first ones will be a trial. Geoff has given me a link to to do that...Thanks again....

More build up dates

I finally painted the rear axel, Nothing spectacular...gloss black to match the frame powder coating. The front upper and lower control arms and bushings painted gloss black as well. Front coil overs assembled. Waiting for the rear springs 350 #. Front and rear disc brakes assembled. Still waiting for the factory back order. The body is still on the chassis..... This is a slow build

More brackets painted

I have dug out the door frames and hinge hardware and got them painted, Also painted the "5" grill mount bracket. While they are drying, the body has been separated from the chassis.

Tip...You have to remove all of the rear sheet metal to take the body off
Rear axle, suspension and coil overs installed and torqued to specs. Partial completion of front suspension... I have taken photos but have not uploaded them to photo bucket yet. I am having more fun struggling and assembling all of these suspension parts.

Tip... tools needed for suspension assembly:
Drift pins
Dead blow hammers
Floor jack
Jack stands
2 moving blankets (lay parts on)
Rags to protect powder coating
Long 1/2 bolt, 2 large washers, 2 nuts (used to bend out mounting
ears for ease of installation of suspension bushings, coil overs etc)
Sweat
50's Rock n Roll
