If there is one part I wish I had added at the early build stage it would be a battery cut out switch. ($9.00 Finish Line) I have ordered one now but it will be a lot more work with all the aluminum riveted in place. Live and keep learning!! My question is could I put the switch on the ground cable or does it have to be on the positive cable?

Safer on the positive side. Idea is to isulate the positive side of the battery in case the wireing becomes shorted out along the way. Just dissconnecting the negative side of battery would'nt help since wireing would still have a ground path when shorted.
