A friend and I designed and built this box. I bought a cheap metal brake in April. This is the first "real project" for our metal brake. It is also the first shot at the box(NO DO OVERS) :D Pretty good for beginners! The trunk metal is also done! Time to fit the body, I guess?

Looks good. I've been thinking about something like that. What size battery did you end up choosing and did you rivet the sides?

I can't tell if you have some in the one side or not, but you might consider some vent holes. It is critical that gases from the battery can escape.

I would suggest that you add some 3/16" rivets inside the box into the 3/4" tubes. You will need a right angle drill but it makes the box much more rigid in between the 3/4" tubes.
