I believe SATAN manages all the Ford dealerships parts departments. My advice is stay away at all costs and only order stuff you MUST get from the dealer. Have the correct part number handy and don't depend on them for any proper help. Also be prepared to pay AT LEAST double for any comparable aftermarket part. I'm pretty cynical about the Ford dealerships if you can't tell.

An example is when I tried to buy some stock valves for E7 heads. They wanted to sell me new heads! I laughed and asked how much (just for fun) and they quoted me $800 and change for EACH HEAD! Hah! There's more but I forget because I haven't called any Ford dealer for over a year.

I use NAPA or Autozone. I've had great luck with NAPA although they seem to be about $5 more than Autozone most of the time. It's easily worth it because they have the right parts in stock, and sharp counter people. At least my local store does.

Have you used the websites to search parts? Check these out:

Carson, he may have been too literal i.e., you don't need a MAP sensor with MAF, but you do need a BAP sensor. It's the same part but with MAF no vacuum line is used and conversely with speed density you need a vacuum line.

Ok I take some of it back. I was maybe a little harsh. Did I mention I was cynical? It's just that it has happened so many times where I'll say "how much?", "are you sure?" and then go aftermarket.
I'll say one local dealer has been somewhat helpful in finding what I needed a couple of times, but after I heard the prices, I kept looking. I think I bought some suspension bolts early on, only to later learn I paid double. Burn me once...blah blah blah....

I'll give Dan a shot if I ever have to order anything. Hopefully I won't have to since I'm currently just waiting on my painter.

I can certainly apreciate a cynic :D and I do agree with you in general about dealerships especially service departments.....I just took my wifes Explorer in for a warantee item after the check engine light came on. Long story short I have an EEC V scanner so I went in armed with the diagnostic trouble code and service proceedure which I thought would be helpful and save them some time but boy did they get defensive when I gave it to them....."who told you that.....what do you mean you read the code yourself"
