I narrowed an 8.8 for my MK I before Factory Five developed IRS. Sutton Engineering did the job and I hooked Kouro up with their phone number. The deep dish GT 40 wheels looked real pretty but it was an expensive way to get marginal handling and a harsh ride.

As soon as Factory Five Racing had IRS I was an early one to do the pin-drive retrofit.



I agree that narrowing the housing is a couple hundred bucks. When you add up disk brakes, bearings, seals, new shortend Moser resplined axels, 3.55 gears, installation and set up fees you end up with pretty wheels that ride like a truck.
