Help please.

My brother is driving my car to Florida and is having som transmission problems.

Can the AOD be removed without removing the engine?

Of course. Remove the 2 bolts holding the inspection cover on, 4 convertor nuts, driveshaft, crossmember, shifter cable, cv cable, wiring plug, speedo cable, 6 bellhousing bolts.

Do it exactly as described above. You can pull it out without pulling the motor. You need to have some high clearance to slide it out from under the car. that sucker is tall.

And be very careful it is heavy. This ain't no t-5 we're talking about

I got it pulled. Lifted up into tunnel then dropped below.

400 bucks later shes on the road.
