I used a gear puller to yank the ABS rings off of the SN-95 front hubs. The ones of the rears look the same.
Just a note of interest: one of them pulled off nicely - a bit of travel with each turn of the wrench. The other one didn't budge at all until I had A LOT of tension on it. All of a sudden, the hub, ABS ring, puller, wrench and I all flew in different directions. In other words, cover your eyes before you do it.
Some have said a whack with a hammer and they will come off. I had painted mine already so didn't go at it hard, but they didn't budge. Batman on the forum says he has a bin of them ...like thowing stars....so they must come off.
