My alternator is charging 14 to 15 volts at cruising speed of about 2500RPMS. I think that something is wrong because it usually runs at 12 volts. This is the second alternator that has done this. Do I just have a bad alternator or could something else be causing the alternator to go bad?
My set up is a 351W carbed with the American Auto Wire harness from FFR.

Your advise is appreciated.

Seems to me that it is charging just fine. Mine runs at just about 14.3 when driving. At 12 volts it won't charge the battery.

Bill is right. I recently changed my alternator due to a bad voltage regulator that was only putting out 12v. My battery was dead every morning. Changed the alt and now I'm putting out about the same as yours
