I have read that you bend the ears on the triangle mount around the radiator to adjust the body right or left. Can you shim the body instead of bending the ears? What is he best way to bend the ears? Thanks for any help I can get.

You should set the body on and see if the 3/4" tubes line up perfectly with the hood opening. If not, smack the tubes leading to the QJ mounts with a BFH as required. Mine were 3/8" off. Not anymmore

Like said check to see where if antplace the frame needs to be shifted for body to align. I used an adjustable wrench on the ends of the front body mounts to bend them in the direction needed. about 1/2" or so. You need to bend the ears as shimming would not allow the quick jacks to align.
