I just purchased a pair of adjustable rear
upper control arms with poly bushings. I noticed that the FFR
rear uppers are not adjustable.. Has any
one else used the adjustable ones? What is
the benifit to adjustable? Can these be adjusted
to help with the drive shaft bunding problems?

any comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,
Yes alot of guys are running the adjustable ones, and originally alot of them said that this was the way to eliminate the dreaded wheel hop.
You use them and you should have no problems.

Auto Weld Uppers are the ones you are reffering to. I just installed a set and can verify they do drastically reduce(or eleminate) wheel hop.

The Auto Weld differ in the fact that the rear mount is relocated to some place above the axle instead of the stock location on the axle. They do this by suppling a new bracket with the uppers that doesnt come with other aftermarket Control Arms.

When using a live axle adjustable uppers allow you to rotate the differential to adjust pinion angle. If you have wheel hop the Pinion angle adjustment can help cure it. If you have U-joint binding then the Tranny to differential relationship is wrong and shimming the transmission mount could be the answer.

Should I go for the rear Cararra (sp) for $399,
or the Forte Pro Shocks for $425.

Thanks,
