I started the build 2 years ago. Its a non-donor with a 3 link suspension. The engine is a 1965 289 block with the Edlebrock Performer RPM package (smogged as a 1965). Trans is a Richmond 5 speed. Brakes are from DBRU and the seats are from Sube. The cockpit is still aluminum, because I like the "race car" look, but I am sure the carpet will go in before too long.
The credit for the paint and body work goes to Jeff Miller. It really made the car!

Special thanks to this forum for all the "technical support".

I am looking forward to Knotts and Huntington Beach this weekend.
See you there.

Great car!! And from Cal.! Did you go the 1965 289 motor to bypass the sb100 process and if so I sure would like to speak with you on what you did. I am now in the process of aquiring parts (non -donor) and the only thing i am worried about is the sb100 process and not getting one. So did you register it as a 1965 (motor) and what smog did you have to use.

Rob,
The CA inspection for the 1865 block was to verify that the block was 1865, make sure the PCV valve is installed, and the crankcase breather to the air cleaner. I got failed the first time because I used radiator hose instead of fuel hose on the breather tube.

Could you PM me with your phone number, I would really like to bend your ear on the registration process since you did not go sb100 route ,just in case I cannot obtain one.

Thnks Rob
